Shorts
Fortune telling for beginners
A 10 minute short/ pilot for a sitcom and has the tagline: If Adam and Eve ruled your subconscious, would you take the apple or pop the cherry? This script was scheduled to be shot in September 2002, by the Bognor Regis Film Production Workshop, but was cancelled due to lack of funding.
The caller withheld their number
A dark, 10 minute short examining the dangers of telesales cold calling with the tagline: Good morning sir, can I interest you in some revenge?
Features
Beer Goddess
Russ is currently working on Beer Goddess a low budget, dark romantic comedy, feature film set in the Scottish Borders. This is intended to be a community project that will promote the area and local businesses. There has already been some funding interest, more information to follow later.
Logline – Forget beer goggles; a confused beer drinker is unaware that celestial forces are controlling his romantic destiny.
30 word synopsis –Ed is visited by the Goddess of beer. She advises him on his love triangle dilemma, but she’s matchmaking on behalf of her favourite descendant.
Sin Bin
Russ provided a full length feature script for a dark, psychological thriller set in Spain for the maverick Portuguese director Joao Menezes The provocative theatre company La Fura del Baus was interested in providing the cast, but we are still looking for sufficient funding.
Valentine's Verse
A 90 minute comedy drama.
Tagline :Four Weddings and a Funeral meets A Christmas Carol, but this time the dead people have all the fun.
Survival of the fittest?
A portmanteau style film consisting of three interconnecting stories covering three different ways we attract the ideal partner.
Tagline : It's Mother nature versus Lady Luck, and the claws are out!

Interactive fiction
Russ has written a number of humorous interactive Don Juan stories for the mobile phone company Aspiro. The aim is to guide a socially inept character, who believes he is the legendary lover Don Juan, through a number of scenarios ending with a successful female liaison. Subscribers read the introduction on the company's web page and then play the game through their mobile phone.
